Tipping

Tipping is not officially encouraged. If a service charge is not added to the restaurant bill, a 10 percent tip is appropriate. Note that Luanda is a very expensive city, and restaurant meal prices can be quite high.

Taxi drivers are not commonly tipped, but passengers may round up the fare.

Tour leaders should be tipped about 10 percent.
